Assignments will be given prior to each
laboratory, and it will be verified that the
students are prepared for the experiment. The
laboratory reports will be assigned letter
grades. The following two aspects will be
evaluated (with equal weight):
1. The ability to generate, process, present,
and analyze experimental data on processing and
microstructure–property relationships of
materials.
2. The ability to rationalize experimental
observations on
processing–microstructure–property
relationships of materials by applying materials
science principles.
The individual experiments will be weighted as
follows:
