First Meeting of the Class
The class will first meet on Tuesday, January
15, 2008, 13:15 - 16:15,
White Building, room 300.
Laboratory Experiments
Prior to each laboratory, the class will meet
in room 300 to discuss the experimental work, its
results, and the underlying theory. Students are
expected to be prepared for questions related to
details of the planned experiments and the
coresponding theoretical foundations.
Laboratiories will take place in the
metallogrophy laboratory, the foundry, the
Swagelok Center
for Surface Analysis of Materials (SCSAM), and
the mechanical testing facility of the Department
of Materials Science and Engineering.
