Background:BSc., Materials Science & Engineering;Sharif University of Technology (Tehran,Iran), 1999
MS, Materials Science & Eng., Case Western Reserve University, (Cleveland OH), 2003
PhD Candidate, Materials Science & Eng., Case Western Reserve University (2003—Present)
Research Interests:Mechanical characterization of materials
Bulk Metallic Glasses
Biomaterials / Biomechanics
Failure analysis
Deformation processing
Casting & Solidification
Projects:My research revolves around novel aspects of bulk amorphous metals (BAMs) for creation and evaluation of energy absorbing structures. Evaluate BAM mechanical properties (i.e. strength, toughness, energy absorption) under static and dynamic conditions, determine flow properties at different temperatures to develop deformation processing window(s) and to utilize deformation processing window(s) to create layered/composite BAMs with enhanced properties.
